Perhaps one member of a family is struggling with an issue such as substance abuse, chronic illness, or behavior problems that has caused the entire family to feel the weight of the problem.
Treatment can consist of whole families meeting together in one room or even just two members of one family meeting together. The number of family members who attend each session may vary depending on the needs of the family each week.

The therapist will help family members recognize maladaptive behavior patterns and communication issues that may be contributing to any difficulties. Focusing on these issues and enhancing communication skills can help members gain a deeper understanding of one another and build stronger, more harmonious relationships.
