**OFFERING TELEHEALTH IN VA, MD, DC, and AL**
Hi, I am Blair! I’m so glad you’ve found my profile. My passion lies in guiding others
through life’s diverse challenges. I love providing a space for adolescents and adults
that makes them feel safe and comfortable to discover who they are at their core and
how to embrace this in today’s world. In our work together, you can expect a nurturing
space to safely explore your true selves and support in navigating the complexities of
today’s world. People often describe me as cheerful, friendly, relatable, warm,
connected, and insightful - a testament to my commitment to building meaningful and
supportive relationships.
I view my role as your therapist as an opportunity to equip you with the tools and
confidence to navigate life’s challenges, helping you move from where you are now to
where you want to be. Together, we’ll work to cultivate your inherent strengths and
capacities, empowering you to grow and thrive in all aspects of your life.
As a licensed clinical social worker (LSCW) with over four years of experience and a
current student in Fielding Graduate University’s clinical psychology PhD program, I
understand the challenges of a busy schedule. To support the demands of high school,
college students, and adults, I am seeing all clients virtually through a confidential
telehealth platform. I accommodate your busy life and schedule by providing flexible
hours, including mornings before school or work.
You're not alone on your journey. Working together, we'll address the wide range of
challenges you or your family might be facing—whether it's anxiety, mood disorders,
struggles with emotional regulation, experiences of trauma or grief, or struggles related
to self-esteem and self-identity. Along with my experience working with diverse
populations, I bring my compassionate and tailored approach, to provide the support
and guidance needed to navigate life's complex stressors and help you find your path to
healing and growth. My approach is rooted in the belief that therapy is a transformative
journey, where each step forward enhances your resilience and promotes sustained
growth.
In the past two years working as a school-based mental health clinician, I’ve gained
extensive experience with teenagers. I use a variety of therapeutic methods, including
cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness
strategies. Additionally as a 200-hour certified yoga teacher I integrate principles of
yoga to enhance the mind-body connection, an integral part of my holistic approach to
therapy.
My background as an intensive in-home therapist has deeply influenced how I work with
families, parents and caregivers. I rely on a collaborative approach to tackle the unique
challenges all families face. Understanding family dynamics is a crucial element of the
therapy process, and I provide tailored communication strategies that help
parents/caregivers and families successfully navigate the conflict that naturally arises
during the teen years.
